At Jones Geckos, the complete satisfaction of our customers is our top priority. We founded Jones Geckos with one goal in mind: giving our customers a fair, rewarding, and enjoyable shopping experience. We conduct business according to the same values, knowing that better service equals loyal customers. We take pride and joy in what we do every day. Frequently Asked Questions

When will my leopard gecko be shipped and how long will it take for it to get to my house?

We ship Monday through Wednesday right now and the package will be held for pickup at a local USPS location until the weather starts to warm up again. If orders are placed before 3 pm we will try to get them shipped out that same day. Orders placed after 3 pm will be shipped the following day, if orders are placed after 3 pm Wednesday they will be shipped the following Monday.  

Monday Shipments will arrive Tuesday or Wednesday depending on the location. 


Tuesday Shipments will arrive Wednesday or Thursday depending on the location. 


Wednesday shipments will be delivered Thursday or Friday depending on the location. 


Tip: Sometimes the tracking information will estimate delivery in one day but it may take up to two days. If the shipment has not arrived after two days then notify us.  

What happens if I receive the gecko and it didn't make it?

Unfortunately, this can happen, but we try very hard to make sure it does not happen. If the gecko does not make it, we will need a picture of the gecko, and we will need to be notified within 2 hours after it has been delivered. If we are notified within the proper time frame, we can either refund your money or let you pick another gecko of equal value. If you notify us after the 2-hour time frame has passed, we will not be able to offer a refund or send another gecko. We do only ship geckos if the high temperature is between 30 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit for the safety of the gecko. Low temperatures are less harmful than hot temperatures. The temperature in the box is normally 20 degrees warmer than it is outside due to the insulation inside the box.   

Return Policy

We do not offer refunds or returns. If we do under special circumstances refund a payment, it will be given to the customer in the form of store credit.

If you decide later that you don't want the gecko anymore we will always take them back but you will not receive a refund.

We do rescue geckos and are always willing to take in geckos that are not wanted anymore. If you bought a gecko from someone else and decided you don't want them anymore we will be willing to take them in as well. Just reach out to us and we will be happy to help. 

Shipping Policy

  • We ship through USPS Priority Express, one to two-day shipping, which depends on the distance.

  • We do not ship internationally due to the costs and paperwork that has to be filled out. 

  • Shipping costs are now a flat rate of $60 and we can not offer a discount on shipping. 

  • We do not know the exact day the package will arrive until we finish shipping the package. Once we ship the package, we will give you the tracking number to see when the package is expected to be delivered. We can not guarantee or promise that a package will arrive on a certain day and time. Sometimes it will project to be delivered in one day and may show up the following day instead. Always allow two days for the shipment to be delivered. 

  • We are only shipping to USPS locations for pick up only during the winter season.

  • We will resume shipping to personal addresses when the weather stays above 50 degrees.

  • We are shipping to USPS locations only for the safety of our animals during these harsh winter temperatures.

  • We ship our animals in an insulated box with paper towels stuffed around them to keep them warm and secure. We also provide a heating pad for extra warmth during their shipment.

  • We do not ship during any snowstorms or dangerous weather conditions.

Live Arrival Guaranteed Policy

  • We offer a live arrival guarantee.

  • We pay for shipping insurance for all of our geckos, so if anything happens during the shipment the gecko will be covered.

  • If a gecko does not make it during a shipment we offer our customers two options. The first option is we can refund your money or the second option is you can pick out another gecko of equal value and we will ship the replacement gecko to you free of charge. 

  • We try very hard to make sure this does not occur by following our shipping policy closely because every gecko we own is a part of our family and we want them to get to their new family safely. 

  • If this does occur we do require to be notified within two hours after the shipment has been delivered. If we are not notified within two hours our live arrival guarantee is void and we will not be able to offer a refund or exchange. 

  • We will require a photo of the deceased gecko and will not refund or exchange the gecko out until we receive a picture of the deceased gecko for verification reasons.  

Animal Guarantee's


We guarantee the sex of all adult geckos. We do not guarantee the sex on baby geckos due to being temperature sexed and temperature sexing is not an exact science. 


We guarantee that all of our geckos are healthy and eating properly. If you are concerned about their health, please notify us within 24 hours after delivery, and we will be happy to help. We guarantee the health of our reptiles up to 3 days after shipment. 

Being shipped can cause geckos to stress, and handling them is not avised after they have been delivered. Give your gecko a couple of days to calm down and get used to their new home. Do not pair them with another gecko immediately after shipment because it may cause even more stress to the gecko. 

If your gecko does not eat right away after being delivered that's okay. Offer them food and once they calm down they will start to eat. If your gecko hasn't eaten within 3 to 4 days after being shipped try hand feeding or Repti boost to help boost their appetite. If you see poop that means they are eating. Also, check to make sure their enclosure is set up correctly because the temperature can affect their appetite.
